One of our members Diane, found an Otodus chubutensis tooth. The Chubutensis is a mega toothed shark.These sharks were around during the oligocene,miocene and Pliocene epochs which puts them in our waters from 5-28 million years ago.
They grew to a massive 40 ft in length making them one of the oceans scariest creatures!
During our fossicking trip an exciting discovery was made by one of our members...A jaw from the giant wallaby Protemnodon from the megafauna.
